Meet The Animals!

We currently have 10 mini Shetland ponies here at the sanctuary.
I’m married to Candy! we both like to spend our time together at the front of the sanctuary, I’m also quite the ladies man with visitors.
I’m pedro’s wife, but I definitely wear the trousers in our relationship. i don’t have teeth because i’m an old lady now so i’m on a special soft diet.
I’m a mix between a mini Shetland and a Falabella.
I was found abandoned tied to a fence when I was only a Colt (Male under 4 years) But now i’m loved and looked after a love a fuss.
I suffer from Stifle Lock, this is where my ankles get locked in place and I struggle to move it, but i’m always kept an eye on and well looked after!
I’m a cross between a mini Shetland and a Falabella. My names Lily may because i was born in May!
My names Jasmine June because i was born in June!
Back before I was brought here i had deformed front hooves that caused problems for me but thankfully with care and attention now i’m all better!
Hi! i’m the first Pony that was rescued to come and live here at donkeys and Shetlands last home. If you look at my patch it’s like a little heart.
I’m a shy girl but will let you cuddle me if you’re calm and quiet. I’m called April surprise because i was born in April!
I suffer with Laminitis, a painful condition where the soft tissues inside the hoof become inflamed, this means i can only walk on Foam padding to make sure i’m comfortable. i’m also on a strict diet to keep me healthy.
Before coming here i was mistreated badly when I was only 6 months! So i’m very shy and timid but with time I get used to you. It just takes me a bit longer than the others.
We currently have 5 beautiful donkeys here.
I’m Twilight and I love to be a clown, i’m always causing mischief. I love a fuss and might follow you for some more cuddles!
I’m a Mediterranean miniature donkey mix with a Standard donkey
I’m Gus i’ve been here since i was 6 months and I used to go to care homes to help the elderly.

As you can see we are all named after famous Cowboys and live in a fancy Saloon!
We weren’t handled when we were born, so when we came here we were completely feral, and didn’t like any people coming near us. with help from our wonderful volunteers Alan and Emma spending hours with us, we are gradually getting there! Please don’t make too much noise and chase us it only makes us more scared. We are Pygmy Goats
I’m the only Boy in the group and I run the roost over here at the saloon, I do tend to be a bit of a bully but I have my goofy moments. I am always first to check someone out and make sure the girls are safe
I am second to approach people because im a very nosey girl! though we are all still shy we need time to check people out but we do recognise people that come more often
I’m very shy and normally the last to approach new people.
I’m the runt of the group and tend to get pushed around a bit but my mummy Michelle always makes sure i eat enough! I’m a very sweet girl and have a lot of curiosity!
There’s 5 of us!
i hang out with the shetland’s and donkeys so i don’t feel left out.
I’m a mini American Horse!
Hi i’m thunder on the right and this is lightning she’s very shy because we was once on deaths door. She finds it hard to trust people so give her some space. We were rescued from a very horrible situation where we were both skin and bones. Lightning suffers from a Since being here we’ve grown into beautiful ponies.
We are both Mini Cobs
Me and Willow were saved from going to a meat factory in Belgian to be used for horse meat. We can be a bit unpredictable around new people, so that’s why you’re told not to enter our paddock but we do like a little nose stroke over the fence. I’m called blue because I have one bright blue eye.
We are both Welsh Cobs.
